Why it suits a phone
Hotline Money is built around a path choice, a short animation and a Withdraw button, so it fits a small screen without shrinking anything.
That suits a device you hold in one hand. During a run only two kinds of control matter: the path buttons that advance it and the Withdraw button that ends it.
Getting it onto the handset
The procedure is short. Open the game from the handset you intend to play on, sign in or register, and take the install on offer. What appears is tailored to the handset you are holding, which is why starting on the right device saves a step.
Start from the partner page and skip searching elsewhere. The partner handles how the game reaches your device.
Register first and install second, so each task gets your full attention. If you already know that is how tonight is going, get the app on your phone and have it done before you sit down.
Thumb reach
On a desktop, the distance between the path buttons and Withdraw is irrelevant. On a handset both fall under the same thumb.
Spend the first session locating them. Take a few short runs on Easy and notice where Withdraw sits relative to the path buttons. Knowing where the cash-out sits keeps every step a decision you planned.
Autobet and turbo on a small screen
Autobet lifts your hand off the button for a stretch of rounds. Turbo strips the waiting out of the round in front of you. Both are more tempting on mobile, because a phone session is usually squeezed into a gap between other things.
Use them with a rule attached. Before Autobet, fix the number of rounds. Before Turbo, fix the exit. A fixed stopping point keeps quick play on track, and a round count is easy to follow on a small screen.
What the phone screen holds
The game fits a portrait frame. The field and the step counter sit above, Easy and Hard share space with the stake stepper below, and Autobet and Turbo are small toggles beside the field. The Live, My and Top panels wait under the stake controls.
Path choice on the move
Path A or path B comes up at every step, and on mobile you will often be choosing while distracted. Each choice moves the run on, so give the game your attention for the length of a run. When you have a minute and a hand free, take one run on your phone and note the step where you start to hesitate.
Verifying a round from the phone
The fairness screen travels with the game. After a round closes it shows the Round ID, the Salt and the Hash, which are the three values the provider’s Provably Fair check consumes.
Run it from the phone, early, on a round you feel neutral about.
Where to start tonight
If the pace is new to you, rehearse in the free 100HP demo on the home page of this site. When you know where the controls are, put Hotline Money on your home screen, choose Easy or Hard deliberately, and take the run one step at a time.
